The Sahara Desert. While daytime temperatures may easily break one hundred degrees, nighttime in the Sahara is incredibly sensual; the moon casts a soft light over the curves of the sand dunes, and all is quiet with the exception of the wind. Jim Rogers, who holds the world record for the two longest road trips in history, has said that this is the ideal spot for honeymooners.
Buenos Aires. This city is the perfect combination of European sophistication and Latin flavor. While here you should consider tango lessons, the dance which has been described as a vertical expression of a horizontal desire. Enjoy some of the finest steaks available, and wash it down with a bottle of Chilean wine.
New Orleans. There is a zest to life here in the Big Easy, and the amount of local shellfish provide a never ending barrage of aphrodisiacs. Spend an afternoon chasing oysters with champagne, then have dinner at Tommy’s (one of the best restaurants in a town known for great food).
Thailand. OK, I wouldn’t include Bangkok here, as you journey further south, you’ll find some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, and bungalows where the two of you can get enjoy a very simple week snorkeling, diving and laying in the sun.
The Black Forest in Germany. If you ever want to see a forest that’s straight out of a fairy tale, look no further. Here, you can hike from village to village, stopping to spend the night in a quaint little cottage along the way.
