Network marketing requires perseverance, and there is no way around it. It is not optional. It is required. If you don’t already have it, you must develop it. You should read those sentences again. They are THAT important. I was looking at a work from home forum today, and a lady had posted that she was a new network marketer. She was frustrated because she had tried everything she knew to try for a whole month now, and she was getting nowhere.
I had to laugh. One month. Are you kidding me? Obviously her sponsor had not made her aware that a network marketing business takes time; a lot of it. She is in for a very rude awakening if she doesn’t realize quickly that she has to keep plodding along, day after day, maybe for MANY months, before she sees progress.
Many people get started in the business, then quit because things don’t happen as quickly as they think they should. They give up and quit in frustration. When you quit, you lose your chance to get what you want. However, if you persevere instead, you take one step at a time toward financial freedom.
The one trait that all successful people possess is perseverance. Without it, you will not achieve much in life. You will jump from one opportunity to another, hoping for a quick fix. There is no such thing. You may as well accept that fact right now. All businesses, even traditional businesses, take time to build. I used to work at a gift store in a mall. The owner told me he had not seen one dime in profit yet. He and his family were living off their savings. He said that he did not expect to see a profit for at least two years.
The sad thing is, he works all the time. He rarely gets to see his family. If he had kept his high-paying executive job and joined a network marketing business instead, he would have been much better off. It still may have taken a couple of years to see a significant income, but he would not be trading his family life for a traditional business. He could have kept his job, worked his marketing business on the side, and possibly could have retired in just 3 to 5 years.
Network marketing requires perseverance, but there is no better way to secure your financial future. There are many people out there living the dream because they understood what it takes. Hang in there. Don’t give up. It will pay off down the road.
